According to a press release from the school, Bethel Park defeated Providence Catholic (Ill.) 2-1 to win the 2014 USA Hockey National Championship.
The tournament was held in Omaha, Neb. and featured 32 of the top teams from around the country. Pennsylvania state champion Peters Township also competed in the tournament, but did not advance out of group play.
Bethel Park opened play on Wednesday with a 9-2 win over Cherry Creek, Colo., which was their most convincing win of the tournament.
